Job summary

ASX is seeking an Engineering Lead - Data & DevOps to lead delivery, operation and evolution of data, platform engineering and DevSecOps across the Equities Trading Technology domain. You will partner with Product, Architecture, Cyber Security and Production teams to deliver trusted, secure, resilient market infrastructure.

You will build scalable engineering practices, reusable capabilities, automation-first delivery and ensure compliance with regulatory and security obligations, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related discipline.
• 10+ years experience in software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE or data engineering roles.
• Experience leading engineering teams and developing technical talent.
• Experience operating highly available and resilient platforms.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of Data, Platform and DevOps engineers.
• Establish engineering standards, practices and roadmaps; support workforce planning and capability uplift.
• Drive CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, automation and platform tooling.
• Ensure platforms meet availability, security, observability and performance requirements.
• Define domain technology strategy and alignment with enterprise goals.
• Engage with Product Owners, Architects, Delivery Leads and risk stakeholders to influence decisions.
• Own delivery pipeline maturity, post-incident reviews and resilience initiatives.
