Job summary

WA Country Health Service is seeking a permanent full-time CSSD Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of the sterile services department at Narrogin Hospital. You will ensure timely delivery of sterile stock to theatres, wards and contracted hospitals, while upholding WACHS values and safety standards.

The role requires Cert III in Health Service Assistance Sterilisation Services with 2–4 years in a hospital CSSD, strong infection control knowledge, and proven team leadership and auditing

Qualifications

• Possession of Cert III certificate in Health Service Assistance Sterilisation Services and 2–4 years of hospital CSSD experience.
• Advanced knowledge of infection control principles related to decontamination and reprocessing per AS/NZ5369; experience with instrument tracking systems.
• CSSD leadership experience including day-to-day support, time management, problem solving and supervision of trainees and junior CSSD staff.
• Experience coordinating scheduled auditing and maintenance of CSSD processes and equipment for compliance and service continuity.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day CSSD operations and sterile stock delivery to theatre and wards.
• Lead CSSD team including trainees, ensuring effective supervision and performance.
• Coordinate audits and maintenance to ensure compliance and service continuity.
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards and record-keeping requirements.
