Job summary

Epworth Freemasons in East Melbourne is seeking a passionate CSSD Manager to lead the Central Sterile Services Department on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will oversee the day-to-day reprocessing of reusable medical devices, infection control, and staff development within a collaborative CSSD team.

The role requires a Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services and at least 3 years in CSSD at a supervisory level, with strong organisational and budget management skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years CSSD supervisor/manager experience.
• Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and OHS requirements as they relate to sterilising services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the CSSD team to deliver safe, high-quality services.
• Coach, mentor, and support staff performance and professional development.
• Manage workforce planning, resources, and operational staffing requirements.
• Implement and adhere to Epworth OHS policies, protocols and safe work procedures.
• Foster a positive team culture aligned with Epworth's values and strategic goals.
• Oversee loan instrumentation and equipment processes and the reprocessing of reusable medical devices.
