Job summary

Inner West Council is seeking a Coordinator Roads & Stormwater Projects to lead a portfolio of road, stormwater, and transport infrastructure from concept to completion. The role drives planning, delivery and ongoing improvements with a strong focus on collaboration and outcomes for the community.

You will manage a skilled team, engage with stakeholders, and represent the Council to external organisations, ensuring safety, probity and sustainable investment across generations.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, project management or other appropriate discipline recognised by relevant Australian professional institute.
• Comprehensive experience in leading, motivating, developing and managing teams in the successful project management of infrastructure works.
• Highly developed project management, procurement and contract administration skills.
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills (written & oral) with negotiation and conflict resolution ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of professionals delivering a significant portfolio of road, stormwater and transport infrastructure projects from concept to completion.
• Balance strategic priorities, community expectations and operational excellence while driving delivery.
• Focus on innovation, continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement in infrastructure delivery.
