Job summary

Dedicated Conference Centres P/L trading as Verdure Bistro in Romsey seeks a qualified and experienced Head Cook to join our energetic team. You will cook delicious meals according to our menu and provide recommendations for seasonal changes, while ensuring timely delivery and strong presentation.

Applicants should have a trade qualification in cookery with at least 3 years’ experience in a busy kitchen, and be adept with various cooking methods and sanitation procedures.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in cookery with at least 3 years’ experience in a busy kitchen cooking Australian cuisine.
• Regional cuisines with fresh produce is an advantage.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and safe food handling.

Responsibilities

• Follow food safety requirements.
• Set up workstations with ingredients and equipment to maximise efficiency.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking (chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.).
• Prepare and present dishes with good presentation.
• Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment.
• Store food and items correctly.
• Monitor stock and place orders as required.
