Job summary

Mipac is seeking a Lead Control Systems Engineer to take technical ownership of complex international and national control systems projects, including FATs, commissioning and site delivery.

You will mentor engineers, act as technical authority across PLC/SCADA/DCS platforms, lead client engagements, and ensure work aligns with standards. Australian working rights and ability to travel internationally are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates experience delivering industrial control systems in complex environments.
• Led FATs, commissioning and site delivery, ideally including international or remote sites.
• Holds Australian working rights and able to travel internationally.
• CPEng and RPEQ are required.
• Experience in mining, energy or heavy industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority for PLC, SCADA and DCS design, configuration, integration and commissioning.
• Lead client meetings, FATs, commissioning and site delivery in high-pressure environments.
• Provide clear technical leadership and resolve issues with professional, respectful collaboration.
• Mentor and develop engineers to raise team capability.
• Ensure activities align with standards, governance and agreed delivery approaches.
