Job summary

Pyrocal Pty Ltd is seeking a Lead Electrical and Control Systems Engineer to drive the electrical, instrumentation and PLC/SCADA discipline across Pyrocal's commercial projects in Australia.

You will own the control philosophy and automation platform, lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate contractors, and ensure designs meet AS/NZS standards.

This senior role requires a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and RPEQ registration (or within 12 months).

Qualifications

• Eight years' experience in electrical and control systems design for industrial process plant, including at least three years in a senior or lead role.
• Proven PLC, SCADA programming and commissioning experience.
• Working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 61439, AS/NZS 60079, AS/NZS 4024 and AS 61508/AS IEC 61511.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical, instrumentation and PLC/SCADA control systems across Pyrocal's projects.
• Own control philosophy and automation platform.
• Direct consulting engineers, programming contractors and electrical subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain code bases and change-control processes.
• Lead factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning and upgrades.
• Provide remote and on-site client support and fault-finding.
• Review design deliverables and ensure compliance with standards.
