Job summary

Executive Plus Consulting Pty Ltd in Australia is seeking a highly methodical Project Manager – Commercial Construction to lead projects from initiation to handover. The role focuses on delivering on time, within scope and budget, with emphasis on safety, quality and commercial outcomes.

You will drive programs, manage procurement and contract administration, mentor the project team and foster strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and clients to ensure consistent project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years local project management experience.
• Experience across end-to-end construction lifecycle.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from construction commencement through to completion and handover.
• Develop, maintain and monitor project programs, milestones and delivery priorities.
• Manage project budgets, procurement, cost reporting and commercial outcomes.
• Lead subcontractor and supplier procurement, negotiations and contract administration.
• Proactively identify and manage project risks, opportunities and potential delays.
• Ensure projects meet quality, WHS, environmental, contractual and statutory requirements.
• Manage variations, extensions of time, progress claims and contractual obligations.
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor and develop project team members, fostering accountability and high performance.
• Oversee defects, commissioning, handover and project close-out.
• Drive continuous improvement and capture lessons learned to strengthen future project delivery.
