Dallas Kebab & Cafe Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Chef to join its professional kitchen team in Melbourne. You will take an active role in menu execution, food quality, efficient service delivery and the day-to-day performance of a busy hospitality kitchen.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent, with proven fast-paced kitchen leadership, strong culinary technique and a solid understanding of food safety and inventory controls.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in kitchen operations or equivalent.
• Experience leading kitchen teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and HACCP.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high standards.

Responsabilités

• Develop and refine menus in consultation with management, balancing customer preferences, seasonal availability, quality and cost.
• Prepare, cook and present dishes to high standards of flavour, presentation and portion control.
• Supervise preparation and service workflows, coordinate kitchen activities and maintain output during peak periods.
• Inspect ingredients and supplies for freshness, manage stock rotation, ordering, storage and waste reduction.
• Ensure compliance with food safety procedures, hygiene requirements and workplace health and safety practices.
• Train and support kitchen team members, allocate tasks and promote effective communication.
