Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU is seeking an experienced Chef to join a busy hospitality operation in New South Wales. You will work across multiple sections in a modern kitchen, delivering consistent meals for a seven-day service and maintaining high standards of quality.

The role requires hands-on experience, the ability to work under pressure, and a professional approach. Eligible candidates may obtain full visa sponsorship after six months of full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional experience as a Chef in a busy kitchen.
• Experience across grill, pans, fryers and larder sections.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Understanding of foodsafety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
• Current Food Safety Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organise ingredients, equipment and workstations before service.
• Work confidently across grill, pans, fryers and larder sections.
• Prepare and deliver meals consistently during high-volume service.
• Follow recipes while maintaining quality, portion control and presentation standards.
• Adapt dishes where required to accommodate reasonable customer requests.
• Monitor ingredient quality, freshness and storage conditions.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and inventory control.
• Reduce food waste through effective preparation and stock rotation.
• Maintain clean, organised and hygienic kitchen work areas.
• Contribute ideas for seasonal dishes, recipes and new ingredients.
