Job summary

ModnPods Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Qualified Carpenter to lead our modular fabrication team. This full-time, permanent role focuses on planning, prioritising workload to meet schedules, and delivering high-quality prefabricated components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will read and interpret technical drawings, operate carpentry machines (saws, routers, drills), train crew, perform routine maintenance, and promote site safety while upholding exacting quality

Qualifications

• Qualified Carpenter with experience in modular / prefabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
• Excellent carpentry skills with power and hand tools.
• Strong planning, organization, and communication skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise team workload to meet production schedules.
• Plan ahead for materials and resources to support your team.
• Train and upskill team members.
• Fabricate and assemble components per design specifications.
• Operate carpentry machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
• Interpret drawings and blueprints to guide tasks.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Ensure quality and conduct inspections to identify defects.
