Job summary

Red Arrow Australia is recruiting an experienced Earthworks Leading Hand to steer a bulk earthworks crew on a major civil infrastructure project in Southwest Queensland. The role requires hands-on leadership, ensuring safety, efficiency and design compliance across 12-hour days and a 15/6 roster.

The position offers camp accommodation with meals, transport from pickup points, PPE supplied and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Leading Hand experience in bulk earthworks on civil projects.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate a bulk earthworks crew.
• Current C Class driver's licence and Construction Induction Card (White Card).

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and support a bulk earthworks crew to deliver work safely and to design tolerances.
• Coordinate bulk earthmoving fleets (Moxy, scrapers, dozers, excavators) to maximise productivity.
• Interpret drawings, levels and survey information to ensure earthworks meet tolerances.
• Mentor and develop crew members, conduct pre-starts and toolbox talks.
