Job summary

Bega Group in Melbourne's south-east is seeking a Leading Hand/Machine Operator to support blow moulding operations. The role involves leading the shift, operating and troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are met for a broad range of products.

We value strong leadership, teamwork, and a hands-on approach to improve productivity and reduce waste while providing coaching and guidance to team members on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate shift operations to achieve production, safety, quality, cost, and customer service targets.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot blowmoulding equipment while ensuring compliance with Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
• Ensure all finished goods meet required quality specifications and customer expectations.
• Support workforce planning and assist with shift scheduling to ensure adequate staffing and operational efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve team performance.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to team members, while assisting managers with operational priorities and reporting requirements.
