Job summary

Akaysha Energy pty seeks a Development Engineering specialist to lead technical direction for utility-scale BESS projects, guiding design reviews and Investor Committee approvals across batteries, PCS and key technologies. The role roles will drive OEM engagement and contract evaluations, shaping a scalable global portfolio.

You will build engineering tools, standards and governance, balancing technical performance with project risk, while contributing to commercial pricing and long-term

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in BESS technology, project design and engineering risk management.
• Commercial judgement that balances technical performance, project risk and investment outcomes.
• Ability to turn complex technical information into clear recommendations for executives and stakeholders.
• A passion for emerging technologies and the energy transition, with credibility to influence suppliers and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction of utility-scale BESS projects, from design reviews through to Investment Committee approval.
• Own OEM engagement, supplier selection and contract technical evaluations across batteries, PCS and key project technologies.
• Drive techno-commercial assessments, pricing strategies and bid responses that shape the future of our portfolio.
• Build and maintain the engineering tools, standards and technical governance that enable Akaysha to scale globally.
