Job summary

Envision Energy Australia is seeking a BESS Technical Solutions Manager to lead technical design and tender responses for utility-scale energy storage across Australia. You will work with Sales, Engineering, Product and Delivery teams to translate customer needs into compliant, commercially viable BESS solutions.

The role requires 5 years in BESS or related fields, strong knowledge of PCS/EMS/SCADA, and experience with Australian grid processes. Melbourne or Sydney base with travel opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Energy Engineering.
• 5 years' experience in BESS or related field.
• Knowledge of Australian grid requirements and standards.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to translate customer needs into practical technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer and optimise utility-scale BESS solutions with sales input.
• Analyse RFPs and tenders to capture project requirements and risks.
• Develop technical designs, presentations and documentation for customers and internal teams.
• Translate customer requirements into practical BESS solutions.
• Support tender submissions and technical clarifications during negotiations.
• Monitor market and tech developments to improve Envision's BESS solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D and product teams to localise solutions for Australia.
