Job summary

Akaysha Energy is building the world’s most powerful battery and is expanding its Development Engineering team. You will act as a technical expert on BESS and PCS technologies, shaping procurement approaches for a global project portfolio.

You’ll lead design reviews, engage OEMs, evaluate suppliers, and develop engineering tools and governance to scale our solutions across Australia, Japan, the US and Europe while delivering real, tangible energy-transition outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction of utility-scale BESS projects from design reviews to Investment Committee approval.
• Own OEM engagement, supplier selection and contract technical evaluations across batteries, PCS and core project technologies.
• Drive techno-commercial assessments, pricing strategies and bid responses shaping the portfolio.
• Build and maintain engineering tools, standards and governance to scale globally.
