Soho House in Australia is seeking a Head Bartender to oversee day-to-day beverage service and lead by example, delivering a refined experience for members and guests. You will work closely with the Bar Manager to showcase exceptional mixology, product knowledge, and guest service.

Your main responsibilities include training junior staff, maintaining stock and cleanliness standards, and supporting the development and execution of innovative beverage menus while upholding the club's elevated

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of bar experience, including at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory position.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wines and spirits.
• Experience in luxury, private members clubs or high-end hospitality environments.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire a team.
• Clear communication and confidence under pressure.
• Knowledge of licensing laws, hygiene and health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead bar operations during service, ensuring the bar is fully set, clean and running smoothly.
• Deliver high-quality beverage service, including cocktails, wines and premium spirits.
• Mentor and train bar staff, maintaining product knowledge and professional service.
• Collaborate with Bar Manager to design seasonal drinks menus, specials and events.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, hygiene and safety standards.
• Maintain stock levels, assist with stock takes and report shortages or wastage.
• Resolve guest issues promptly to ensure members and guests feel valued.
