Job summary

Park Street Bistro in Sydney is seeking an experienced bartender to own the bar during service, delivering cocktails, wine and beer with consistency while keeping the bar organised, stocked and ready for trade.

You will join our Opening Team, starting soon, with opportunities for product training, tastings and development, and a chance to help shape the beverage culture of a new European bistro, while maintaining high standards and guest-focused service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years bartending in a busy restaurant, bistro or quality bar.
• Strong cocktail, wine and beer knowledge; confident discussing wine.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of the bar.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise during busy services.
• Confident communicating with guests and making recommendations.
• Understanding of cellar management and stock control is highly regarded.
• Professional, reliable and calm under pressure.
• Current NSW RSA is essential and a Food Handler Certificate is required.
• Must have valid Australian working rights.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Permanent full-time and casual positions available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Take ownership of bar setup, service and close-down procedures.
• Deliver consistent drinks according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Engage guests and provide confident beverage recommendations.
• Maintain awareness of docket times and restaurant service flow.
• Keep the bar clean, organised and correctly stocked.
• Complete opening, closing and cleaning checklists.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering requirements.
• Receive and correctly store beverage deliveries.
• Assist with stocktakes, transfers, wastage and breakage recording.
