Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking an experienced Principal Developer / Lead Backend API Developer to design, develop and evolve a consumer API platform that supports web apps, portals and mobile apps in a highly governed environment.

You’ll provide hands-on technical leadership, set engineering standards, and work with frontend, platform engineering, integration and enterprise platforms to deliver secure, scalable digital services.

Qualifications

• Leading enterprise-scale backend services design and delivery.
• Strong expertise in Golang and GraphQL, API architecture, and authN/authZ patterns.
• Experience with cloud-native delivery on Kubernetes/AWS and delivery governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment of the new middleware/backend development team.
• Provide technical leadership and set engineering standards and practices.
• Mentor and guide a small team of developers.
• Lead troubleshooting, debugging, and production issue resolution.
