Text is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Configuration team. You will own backend services in Go and support Node.js components during migration.

The role emphasizes initiative, ownership, and collaboration across teams to deliver scalable features powering client configurations. You will design and optimize databases and caching, participate in architectural decisions, and ensure reliable deployments from ticket to production.

Qualifications

• Develop, scale, and maintain backend services (Configuration API, TextApp, Integration API) primarily in Go, while also supporting existing Node.js components.
• Design and optimize relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and caching layers (Redis).
• Take full ownership of your work—from ticket to deployment in production.
• Handle cross-team requests and build configuration pools for other engineering teams.
• Participate in technical discussions and architectural decisions, balancing trade-offs.
