Sestra People is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to lead the evolution of its AWS cloud and AI platform capabilities within a large enterprise setting. You will own platform strategy, architecture, automation, and engineering standards across a modern AWS ecosystem.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
Deep AWS expertise across services: EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, IAM, VPC, RDS, Route 53, S3, CloudWatch.
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, Cloud Security, Observability and Monitoring, Platform Automation.
Proven experience designing and operating enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
Ability to influence technical direction and drive engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise-scale AWS platform capabilities.
Define platform architecture, standards, and engineering best practices.
Build and enhance cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation-first principles.
Drive platform reliability, observability, security, resilience, and operational excellence.
Enable and support cloud-native application development across engineering teams.
Champion DevOps, SRE, CI/CD, and Platform Engineering practices.
Design and implement capacities that support AI, machine learning, and Generative AI workloads.
Partner with Architecture, Security, Data, and Engineering leaders to align platform strategy with business objectives.
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple delivery teams.
