Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer (Snr SDE) in Australia to lead high-impact engineering initiatives. You will drive design decisions, mentor teams, and own key components from architecture to production.

You’ll collaborate with product, UX, and leadership to deliver robust, scalable services while adopting modern AI-assisted testing and automated reviews to raise quality and velocity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• Experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or tech lead.
• Experience in professional software development with Java, C++, or C# including OO design.
• Proficiency with GenAI assistance tools for development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, delivery, and implementation of complex, large-scale systems and features, providing technical guidance and advocating for engineering standards.
• Collaborate with cross functional roles to design solutions from customer needs.
