Job summary

NSW Department of Education in Sydney seeks a Lead Application Analyst to design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software applications for websites and single page applications, and to shape the department’s design system and practices.

You will lead an ICT team, advise stakeholders on software changes, oversee integration, testing and deployment, and contribute to risk management, documentation and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in software application design and development, including .NET Core and Azure cloud services.
• Degree in computer science or related degree and/or equivalent experience in information technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver timely, high-quality ICT support and maintain effective application and system performance.
• Advise stakeholders on new initiatives, software changes and technology upgrades to improve efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Lead application and system integration, continuous improvement, testing and implementation with ICT teams and stakeholders.
• Support resource, capacity, security and disaster recovery planning for emerging ICT needs.
• Oversee third-level support, technical documentation and performance reporting, including issue resolution and service provider management.
