Job summary

Reserve Bank of Australia is seeking an experienced Lead or Senior Analyst to support financial stability work. You will shape programs, lead projects, and coach junior staff, analysing vulnerabilities and resilience in Australia’s financial system.

Exposure to APRA and other agencies will broaden regulatory insight. The role offers a hybrid working environment with opportunities for personal and professional development.

Qualifications

• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
• High standards in the production of written analysis.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, to drive timely delivery and collaboration on projects.
• An interest in developing leadership skills would be valued.
• Knowledge of how financial institutions operate and prudential regulation is desirable, but not a prerequisite for the role.
• Hold a degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field, with a strong foundation in economic and/or financial principles.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and assessing systemic risks and vulnerabilities.
• Developing recommendations based on analysis related to the resilience of financial institutions and preparations for crisis conditions.
• Preparing briefing materials and analysis for the Reserve Bank’s senior executives.
• Analysing the links between different parts of the financial system.
