HammondCare North Turramurra is seeking casual and PPT Laundry Attendants to join our Support Services team in an aged care home. You will collect, launder, process and deliver clean linen to internal and external customers, while communicating with managers to ensure timely resolution of laundry issues.

Applicants should be able to work both independently and as part of a team, with an understanding of manual handling and infection control.

Qualifications

• Experience in laundry facility is desirable.
• Demonstrated understanding of safe manual handling and infection control.
• High level communication and customer service skills.

HammondCare North Turramurra are currently looking for PPT and CASUAL Laundry Attendants to join the team.

HammondCare has a unique model of care which places the residents needs as our number one priority. As a Laundry Attendant within the Support Service's Team you will support our model of care by delivering high quality services to our residents in accordance with the organisational mission and mission in action statement.

• 1 Casual Laundry Attendant
• 1 PPT Laundry Attendant - Mon, Tues, Weds 6am-2pm Shift pattern

About the Role

This role is based in an aged care home where specialised care is given to residents with dementia and complex care needs. The successful individual must feel comfortable conversing with residents and working in this environment.

Collect, launder, process and delivery of professionally cleaned linen to internal and external customers.

Communicate with Managers and other staff to ensure timely action & completion of laundry related issues.

Actively seeks improved work methods and implements HammondCare policies and procedures relevant to the role.

• Previous experience working in a laundry facility - desirable
• Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated understanding of safe manual handling, infection control and standard precautions.

• High level communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• The ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs
