Job summary

Twilight Aged Care is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to support residents across NSW facilities with clean, hygienic linen and clothing. You will operate laundry equipment safely and follow infection control practices to maintain high standards of cleanliness.

This permanent part-time role requires police check/NDIS clearance, promotes teamwork, and offers stable hours in a supportive aged care environment.

Qualifications

• Police check or NDIS clearance (up-to-date).
• Experience in aged care or community care preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain resident health via laundry services.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow infection control and chemical safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate laundry records and schedules.
• Work collaboratively with the care team and other staff.
• Prioritise workload and meet daily tasks with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to Twilight Aged Care policies and procedures.

Twilight Aged Care is a stand-alone not-for-profit service with a rich history spanning over 100 years.

Employing over 300 dedicated staff, they provide high quality residential aged care for more than 200 men and women in 5 homes across Northern Sydney – Dural, Gordon,Mosman, Hunters Hill andGladesville.

The Role - Laundry Attendant

Promoting and maintaining optimum levels of resident health and well-being through the provision of exceptional laundry services. Your duties include but are not limited to:

Ability to perform safe use of laundry product and equipment’s

Knowledge of safe use of Chemicals

Knowledge of infection control

Good oral communication skills

Ability to work without supervision

Work well as part of a team

Ability to prioritise work load

Maintain the laundry record

To perform duties according to work schedule

Comply with Twilight Aged Care policies and procedures

Promote and maintain safe workplace and work towards eliminating hazards and risks

Encourage the minimisation of waste

Opportunity for permanent part time (PPT)

48 Hours/Fortnight PPT Laundry Attendant (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thur)

Timings may dependent on position and facility

About you

Demonstrating experience in a similar role, you will have:

An up-to-date Police Check or NDIS

Previous experience (highly preferred)

Previous experience working in community or aged care would be highly regarded

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills

Certificates in Hospitality (optional)
