Coffs Coast Legacy is seeking a Laundry Attendant to join our Home Services team in caring for residents in a residential aged care facility. You will provide a safe, hygienic and resident-focused laundry service for clothing, linen and towels.

Role involves following infection prevention standards, workplace safety requirements and organisational policies, with duties including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding and distributing laundry to residents while maintaining privacy and dignity.

We are looking for someone that would like to join our Home Services team as a Laundry Attendant, this position is responsible for providing a safe, hygienic, efficient, and resident-focused laundry service within the residential aged care facility. The role ensures residents’ personal clothing, linen, towels, and facility laundry are cleaned, handled, stored, and distributed in accordance with infection prevention and control standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and organisational policies.

Position Tasks -

· Collecting, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distributing resident clothing and facility linen.

· Following established laundry procedures and manufacturer instructions for textiles and laundry chemicals.

· Ensuring residents’ personal clothing is correctly identified and returned to the appropriate resident.

· Reporting damaged, missing, or unlabelled clothing to the appropriate supervisor.

· Maintaining adequate supplies of linen and towels throughout the facility.

· Monitoring laundry equipment and reporting faults or maintenance requirements.
