Job summary

Bolton Clarke Group is seeking a Laundry/Housekeeping Assistant to support our residents across aged care settings. You will be responsible for laundering, ironing and folding garments as well as maintaining cleanliness of laundry and related areas.

You will work with a friendly team, ensuring respectful communication with residents and families. Australian work rights and background checks are required prior to starting.

Qualifications

• Background in laundries or cleaning within aged care or hospitality.
• Friendly, positive outlook with good teamwork and communication with residents, families and co-workers.
• Valid working rights in Australia; able to obtain National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Check prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Laundering, pressing/ironing and folding items such as linen, towelling and residents’ garments.
• Cleaning/kitchen cloths, mops and garments; using washing, drying, extracting, pressing, folding or other industrial equipment as required.
• Collecting and distributing personal effects mistakenly sent to the laundry.

Role Summary

Duties

• Laundering, pressing/ironing and folding items such as linen towelling and residents’ garments
• Cleaning/kitchen cloths, mops and garments, Utilising washing, drying, extracting, pressing, folding or other industrial machines/equipment, as required
• Collection and distribution of personal effects mistakenly sent to the laundry

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful you will have Ideally your background will be in laundries or cleaning within aged care or hospitality.
