Job summary

St Vincent's Private Hospital Brisbane is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to support residents at St Vincent’s Care Yennora. You will join a compassionate team, handling laundry duties, linen stock management, and cleaning tasks in a healthcare environment with focus on dignity and respect.

The role requires prior laundry/housekeeping experience in care settings, ability to work mon-Fri 8am-4pm, and compliance with pre-employment checks including NDIS clearance.

Qualifications

• Laundry and housekeeping experience in a health care environment desirable.
• Able to perform cleaning duties promptly and maintain linen stock.
• Experience identifying unserviceable cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities.
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months)
• NDIS clearance will be a requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform laundry duties and ensure timely processing for residents.
• Monitor linen stock and ensure supply meets demand.
• Assist with cleaning tasks to supported standards.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to support resident wellbeing.
