Job summary

Waratah Group Services is seeking an experienced horticulture supervisor to lead a full-time crew around Parramatta and surrounding suburbs. You will organise tasks, drive quality and safety, and coordinate with management to deliver top-tier landscape maintenance services.

The role requires 5+ years in horticulture, a relevant qualification (desirable), and strong leadership, time management and communication skills. Chemcert is a plus, with WHS compliance a must.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in the horticulture industry.
• Qualification in horticulture or equivalent desirable.
• Experience operating and maintaining a large range of commercial landscape maintenance equipment.
• Ability to lead and encourage team members to work effectively together.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• Current Chemcert is desirable or willing to obtain.
• Adherence to WHS policies for a safe workplace.
• Diligent completion of WHS, quality and environmental paperwork.
• Desire to provide a high quality commercial maintenance service.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team on a full-time run around Parramatta and surrounding suburbs.
• Organise and program tasks completed on site.
• Manage team to ensure efficiency and quality are maintained.
• Regularly liaise with Management Team to provide high quality client service.
• Ensure all works are completed in a safe manner.
• Role is run-based, working with the team to meet targets.
• Manage a variety of landscapes on site, especially parks and gardens.
• Identify and treat plant deficiencies, pests and diseases.
• Complete associated documentation regularly.
• Maintain company vehicle and fuel.

Qualifications & experience

• 5 + years’ experience in the Horticulture industry
• Qualification in Horticulture or equivalent desirable, but not essential if you have the experience.
