Job summary

Concrete Sleepers New South Wales is seeking an experienced Landscape Gardener for Ourimbah NSW 2258. This full-time role covers design, construction and maintenance of garden and hardscape projects, with a focus on concrete sleeper retaining walls, galvanised posts and landscape structures.

You will prepare sites, read plans, select materials and coordinate project scheduling, while delivering high safety and quality standards in line with Australian requirements.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Concrete Sleepers New South Wales is seeking an experienced Landscape Gardener to join their expert team in Ourimbah NSW 2258. This is a full-time role involving the design, construction and maintenance of garden and hardscape landscaping projects, with a particular focus on the supply and installation of concrete sleeper retaining walls, hot-dip galvanised posts and landscape structures.

The Landscape Gardener will be responsible for preparing, planning and constructing garden and outdoor landscapes in accordance with client specifications, relevant Australian standards and workplace safety requirements. Key Duties:

• Prepare and maintain garden sites, including clearing, grading and preparing ground ready for landscape construction.
• Prepare design plans and drawings, select appropriate materials and schedule landscape construction projects for clients.
• Set out and install hardscape structures, including retaining walls, fences and paved areas, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and relevant Australian standards.
• Install softscape elements, including turf, garden beds, plants and hedges, as part of landscape projects.
• Prune trees, trim hedges and apply plant support systems.
• Examine trees and garden features to assess condition and determine any treatment or remediation required.

Requirements:

• A relevant qualification such as a Certificate III in Landscape Construction or similar is desirable but not essential for applicants with sufficient experience.
• At least 2 years' experience working as a Landscape Gardener or a related role.
• Current driver's licence.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans.
• Ability to use landscaping tools and equipment.
• Sound knowledge of hardscape and softscape landscape construction techniques and the ability to safely operate landscaping tools and equipment.
• Immediate availability preferred.

Conditions: Full-time Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 + superannuation Suitable Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible visa holders are encouraged to apply.
