Creating Green Landscapes seeks a skilled Gardener for a full-time position based in Mascot NSW 2020. You will maintain and create outdoor spaces, work with various plants, trees, and shrubs, and support landscaping projects with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform general garden maintenance including lawn mowing, edging, and grass cutting with machinery and hand tools.
• Plant, prune and cultivate plants, trees, and shrubs per landscaping plans and client specs.
• Maintain garden beds, borders and planting areas with weeding, mulching and pest management.
• Operate and maintain garden equipment safely and effectively.
• Prepare soil and compost to optimal conditions for planting.
• Water gardens using various methods to ensure hydration.
• Dispose of garden waste responsibly according to environmental standards.
• Assist with design and implementation of new landscaping projects.
• Maintain health and safety standards on job sites and report hazards.
• Liaise professionally with clients to address gardening and landscaping needs.

Creating Green Landscapes is seeking a skilled and passionate Gardener to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Mascot NSW 2020 and offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic gardening and landscaping environment. As a Gardener, you will play a vital role in maintaining and creating beautiful outdoor spaces that enhance our clients' properties and contribute to our reputation for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general garden maintenance tasks including lawn mowing, edging, and grass cutting using appropriate machinery and hand tools
• Plant, prune, and cultivate a variety of plants, trees, and shrubs in accordance with landscaping plans and client specifications
• Maintain garden beds, borders and planting areas through weeding, mulching and pest management
• Operate and maintain garden equipment and tools safely and effectively
• Prepare soil and compost to optimum conditions for planting
• Water gardens and plants using various watering methods, ensuring optimal hydration
• Remove and dispose of garden waste responsibly and in accordance with environmental standards
• Assist with the design and implementation of new landscaping projects
• Maintain health and safety standards on all job sites and report any hazards or incidents
• Liaise professionally with clients and address their gardening and landscaping needs

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience working as a Gardener or in a similar gardening and landscaping role
• Sound knowledge of plants, trees, shrubs, and seasonal gardening practices
• Competency in operating and maintaining garden machinery and hand tools safely
• Ability to understand and follow landscaping plans and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Current driver's licence
• Relevant horticultural qualifications or certifications (preferred)
• Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations in the gardening industry
