Job summary

GRANDE GROUP AUSTRALIA PTY. LTD. is seeking a Landscape Gardener in Frenchs Forest, NSW to establish, maintain and improve gardens and outdoor spaces for property maintenance projects.

You will apply horticultural knowledge, work safely and efficiently, and support clients with seasonal upkeep and garden care. The role requires practical horticultural knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to work within a professional team.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Landscape Gardener.
• Knowledge of plant selection, soil preparation, pruning and garden maintenance techniques.
• Ability to use and maintain landscaping machinery, hand tools and irrigation equipment.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to complete scheduled outdoor maintenance tasks.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety, teamwork and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare garden beds and landscaped areas by assessing soil conditions, cultivating soil, applying soil improvements and installing mulch.
• Select, position and plant trees, shrubs, groundcovers and seasonal plants to suit site conditions and landscape requirements.
• Maintain lawns and turf through mowing, edging, fertilising, aerating and managing weeds.
• Prune, trim and shape trees, hedges and shrubs to promote healthy growth and maintain the appearance of client properties.
• Identify common plant pests, diseases and nutrient deficiencies and carry out appropriate garden care treatments in accordance with safety requirements.
• Install, operate and maintain garden irrigation systems, checking watering coverage and repairing minor faults.
• Construct and maintain garden features such as edging, garden borders, pathways and planted areas as required by landscape plans.
• Carry out scheduled garden care and outdoor property maintenance visits, including seasonal clean-ups and green-waste removal.
• Inspect outdoor areas, identify maintenance priorities and communicate recommended works and material requirements to supervisors or clients.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and hand tools safely, keeping work areas tidy and following site safety procedures.
