Job summary

Wyer & Co is seeking an experienced garden maintenance team leader for a full-time role in Sydney. You will lead a small crew, delivering premium garden maintenance for residential clients with support from management.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in landscape and garden maintenance, strong communication, and a keen eye for detail. A current driver’s license and white card are expected; sponsorship is not provided.

ABOUT US

Wyer & Co is an integrated Landscape Design practice, founded by Anthony Wyer in 2005. Based in Sydney, Wyer and Co is a team of dedicated landscape architects, designers, horticulturalists and construction specialists who collaborate with our clients to create, construct, and maintain exceptional landscapes for exceptional homes throughout Sydney.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Wyer & Co. is expanding and we are seeking expressions of interest from experienced team leaders in garden maintenance looking to join our Sydney team for an immediate start in a full-time role. The role involves leading a small team to deliver garden maintenance of the highest standard to our residential clients with the support of Wyer & Co management.

ABOUT YOU

4+ Years experience with working in the landscape industry and general garden maintenance, in particular high end residential

Possess the ability to nurture new landscapes to ensure they reach their full potential

High attention to detail and time management skills

Team player with exceptional communication skills and the ability to both lead a small team and work collaboratively as part of a larger team

Great work ethic with self-motivation and take pride in your work

Experience completing detailed garden maintenance tasks such as; hedging, topiary trimming, seasonal pruning of perennials & turf maintenance

Exceptional plant, weed, pest and disease identification knowledge

Experience using power equipment such as; hedge trimmer, whipper snipper, brush cutter, mower etc

Experience implementing seasonal fertiliser programs for both turf and gardens

Experience with soft landscaping works such as; planting, mulching, turf renovations etc

Good knowledge of safe work procedures and their implementation

Be physically fit and enjoy working outdoors

Well presented and enthusiastic approach to all duties

Possess a current driver's licence

Must hold current CI white card and first aid certification (or willing to undertake training if you don’t hold)

Tertiary education in horticulture is desirable but not essential
