Job summary

Boral Concrete is seeking a Concrete Tester to join the Orange Grove team. As a Lab Technician, you will focus on day-to-day sampling and testing of high-spec concrete products and casting cylinders across metro plants.

You’ll handle slump testing, generate reports, and maintain records while following ITPs and ensuring lab compliance under NATA standards. Training, with Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, is provided to support career growth.

Qualifications

• Energetic and physically able to perform site-based testing.
• Strong communication and listening skills for report writing and teamwork.
• Commitment to safety and quality with analytical capability.
• Flexibility to work Monday to Saturday and in shifts.
• Willingness to collaborate with metro teams and laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Sampling concrete across multiple plants.
• Perform slump tests and cast cylinders.
• Generate summary reports and maintain records.
• Follow Inspection and Test Plans for production and compliance testing.
• Maintain the laboratory in line with NATA accreditation requirements.

Your next opportunity

Boral currently have an opportunity for a Concrete Tester to join our Orange Grove team. As a Lab Technician, you will focus on the day to day sampling and testing of high specification concrete products and casting of cylinders.

Your day will involve

• Sampling of concrete between 7 metro concrete plants
• Slump testing of concrete and casting of cylinders
• Generating summary reports and accurate record keeping
• Follow Inspection and Test Plans to carry out production and compliance testing
• Maintenance of the laboratory in accordance with NATA accreditation requirements
