Job summary

Boral Concrete is hiring a Concrete Tester to join the Orange Grove team as a Lab Technician. You will focus on day-to-day sampling and testing of high-spec concrete products and casting of cylinders, ensuring accurate records and compliance with inspection plans.

You will operate across metro plants, perform slump testing, and contribute to reports while maintaining NAB accreditation standards. Training via Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques is supported as part of your development.

Qualifications

• Energetic and physically capable for field sampling and lab work.
• Strong listening and communication skills for team collaboration.
• Commitment to safety and quality with analytical approach.
• Flexible to shift work and weekends as required.
• Willingness to collaborate with metro teams across sites.

Responsibilities

• Sample concrete from multiple plants and perform slump testing.
• Cast cylinders and document testing results.
• Generate summary reports and maintain accurate records.
• Follow Inspection and Test Plans for production and compliance testing.
• Maintain laboratory systems in line with NATA accreditation requirements.

Your next opportunity

Boral currently have an opportunity for a Concrete Tester to join our Orange Grove team. As a Lab Technician, you will focus on the day to day sampling and testing of high specification concrete products and casting of cylinders.

Your day will involve:

• Sampling of concrete between 7 metro concrete plants
• Slump testing of concrete and casting of cylinders
• Generating summary reports and accurate record keeping
• Follow Inspection and Test Plans to carry out production and compliance testing
• Maintenance of the laboratory in accordance with NATA accreditation requirements
