Job summary

Based in Winston Hills, Boral is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join its Technical Services Team. The role reports to the Laboratory Section Head and involves sampling construction materials, preparing test samples, trial mixing, testing and reporting results.

Responsibilities include conducting tests, calibrations, maintaining safety standards and accreditation, and supporting the Laboratory’s compliance and quality initiatives while handling various construction materials.

Job description

Based in Winston Hills, we are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Technical Services Team. Working as part of a team, this role reports directly to the Laboratory Section Head.

Duties involve undertaking sampling of construction materials, preparation of test samples, trail mixing, testing and physical analysis of these samples, reporting of test results and maintenance of records.

The main responsibilities include:

• Conduct testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions and manuals.
• Prescribed calibrations and checks of laboratory test equipment.
• Maintain, observe, and participate in the statutory Safety requirements of the Laboratory.
• Maintenance of the Laboratory NATA accreditation requirements.
• Other duties as directed by the Section Head
• Working with concrete and other construction materials

Skills and experience:
