Job summary

Evolve Scientific on the Gold Coast is seeking 4 Experienced Laboratory Technicians for a casual assignment. You will perform QC analyses using HPLC and conduct routine chemical and physical testing of in-process products in a 24/7 12-hour shift roster.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry preferred), strong wet chemistry skills, and experience with laboratory calibration. Beverage/food industry experience and excellent record-keeping are advantageous.

About the role:

Our client is a national beverage manufacturer of globally renowned brands. With sites based across Australia, their Brisbane site is seeking 4 x ExperiencedLaboratory Technicians for a casual assignment.

This role is a casual position, working rotating day and night shifts (12-hour shifts across a 24/7 roster). Hours may vary from week to week depending on production schedules. This role will require you to complete a pre-employment medical and will be starting in August, for approximately 4-6 months.

As a laboratory technician you will be responsible for QC analysis using HPLC, as well as routine chemical and physical testing of in-process products. Other duties will include equipment calibration, preparing standards for analytical equipment and assisting the Quality team.

Selection Criteria:

To be considered for this position you MUST have:

• Bachelor of Science, preferably Chemistry, but other disciplines will be considered;
• Previous experience working in the beverage and/or food manufacturing industry is advantageous;
• Demonstrated laboratory technical skills in wet chemistry and analytical techniques;
• Experience working with HPLC is essential;
• Knowledge of operation, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment;
• Understanding of GMP highly desired;
• High attention to detail and excellent record keeping skills;
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to work autonomously and excellent communication skills;
• Your own reliable vehicle (this company is not located near public transport)
