The role focuses on maintaining efficient lab operations, managing sample registers in LIMS, and coordinating domestic and international shipments.

Qualifications

• BSc in a scientific discipline (Essential).
• Extensive experience in laboratory environment (Essential).
• Experience in a quality-controlled environment (ISO/IEC 17025, GLP or similar) (Essential).
• Extensive people management experience (Essential).
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills (Essential).
• Ability to work as part of a team (Essential).
• Experience with handling clinical samples and international shipping/logistics (Desirable).
• Experience with Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS) (Desirable).
• High motivation and enthusiasm for biomedical research (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the laboratories in an efficient and well-organised manner.
• Manage clinical sample registers and/or relevant records in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Coordinate and optimise domestic and international sample shipments and storage, liaising with stakeholders.
• Ensure equipment and systems track and monitor storage of critical reagents and samples across environments.
• Support Sample Logistics Officers as needed.
• Conduct sample reception metric analysis and provide interpretation of data.
• Maintain records and generate reports in line with ISO/IEC 17025, GLP, and NATA guidelines.
• Provide leadership to drive the Sample Reception team and foster cross-functional collaboration.
