Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Technical Operations Supervisor to lead the Farleigh Laboratory team, delivering high-quality concrete and aggregate testing while maintaining laboratory operations and compliance with Australian Standards.

You will oversee equipment calibration, manage safety and quality culture, coordinate testing programs, and support staff using QESTLab and SAP. Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, you will drive continuous improvement and mentor technicians.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of experience in construction materials testing.
• Experience in concrete and aggregate testing.
• Sound understanding of NATA accreditation requirements and laboratory quality systems.
• Proven ability to lead, train and coordinate team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the laboratory, including equipment, maintenance and quality systems.
• Coordinate concrete and aggregate testing programs to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and testing requirements.
• Oversee equipment calibration, servicing and certification schedules.
• Analyse and validate test results using QESTLab, SAP and associated systems.
• Support laboratory staff while promoting a strong safety and quality culture.
