Job summary

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology is seeking a Laboratory Aide (Support Services) for the St George Lab in Kogarah. You will support the Specimen Reception, perform data entry of patient demographics and pathology request information, and help maintain the safe work area.

No prior laboratory experience is required as full training is provided. The role is full-time on a rotating roster between 6:30am and 9:00pm, Monday to Friday, with weekend and public holiday shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the Specimen Reception Area through accurate receipt, processing and distribution of pathology specimens.
• Perform data entry of patient demographics and pathology request information.
• Maintain work area to WHS standards and keep equipment in good order.
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, confidentiality and commitment to quality.
• Collaborate with colleagues and provide support within training and capabilities.
