Job summary

UniSC Sunshine Coast Campus is seeking a Technician (Laboratory Admin) to support the effective administration, safety and day-to-day operations of Science teaching laboratories.

Working within the Technical Operations team, you will coordinate a broad range of laboratory administration, WHS, purchasing, equipment, inventory, records and scheduling activities that enable the smooth delivery of practical science teaching.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting laboratory operations in teaching/research environments.
• Strong knowledge of WHS, risk assessments, SOPs and legislation.
• Organised, proactive, able to manage competing priorities.
• Advanced computer literacy with Microsoft 365, databases and electronic systems.
• Current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate laboratory administration including purchasing, inventory, records and scheduling.
• Support WHS compliance across science labs.
• Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to improve laboratory operations.
• Provide hands-on lab technical support as needed.
