Job summary

University of the Sunshine Coast – Sunshine Coast QLD is seeking a Technic ian (Laboratory Admin) to support administration and safety of science teaching laboratories at UniSC Sunshine Coast Campus, Sippy Downs. This part-time role coordinates purchasing, inventory, records and scheduling to enable smooth practical delivery.

You will work with technical staff, academics, students and stakeholders, providing practical advice and contributing to continuous improvement across laboratory

Qualifications

• Organised, proactive and collaborative professional with laboratory operations experience.
• Knowledge of WHS requirements, risk assessments and safety documentation.
• Ability to balance administrative tasks with hands-on lab support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate laboratory administration: purchasing, inventory, records, scheduling and SharePoint systems.
• Support WHS compliance across science labs, including risk assessments and safety documentation.
• Collaborate with technical staff, academics and stakeholders to improve laboratory operations.
