Job summary
Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking a Laboratory Systems Engineer to own and optimise the digital backbone of our laboratory operations on-site in Brisbane. You’ll configure, support, and enhance LIMS/ELN and instrument integrations to ensure seamless data flow and system reliability.
This role involves troubleshooting, improving workflows, and collaborating with vendors and IT to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions while supporting validation and audit readiness across the lab environment.
Qualifications
- 6+ years in OT, lab systems, or enterprise technology support.
- Experience with integration, middleware, and data exchange.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Configure, support, and optimise LIMS/ELN and instrument integrations.
- Ensure secure, accurate data flow between lab and enterprise systems.
- Troubleshoot complex system and instrument issues on-site.
- Improve workflows, usability, and turnaround times.
- Partner with vendors and IT teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Support validation, governance, and audit readiness.
