Job summary

Cadence Connect is partnering with a Brisbane MSP to recruit an experienced Level 3 Systems Engineer. This senior, hands-on role involves owning complex problems, delivering projects, and working directly with clients while expanding technical capabilities.

The position requires MSP experience in a multi-client environment, with responsibilities spanning Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, networking, backups, and project delivery. The role is office-based five days/week in Brisbane.

Cadence Connect is exclusively partnering with a growing Brisbane MSP to recruit an experienced Level 3 Systems Engineer.

This is a senior, hands on role for an MSP engineer who wants more than sitting in an escalation queue. You'll own complex technical problems, deliver projects, work directly with clients and continue building your technical capability.

Why this one?

Our client is currently a team of approximately 20, with plans to grow to circa 30 over the next five years and 50 over the next decade.

They're investing in the people who will grow with them.

And when they talk about training and development, they mean it. Two recent starters spent their first week completing Fortinet training. Certifications, vendor training and ongoing technical development are genuinely supported.

What you'll be doing

You'll be a senior technical escalation point across multiple client environments, working across:

• Windows Server, AD, Group Policy, DNS & DHCP
• VMware / Hyper-V
• Networking, firewalls, VPNs & VLANs
• Backup, recovery & infrastructure
• Complex troubleshooting & root-cause analysis
• Migrations, upgrades & technical projects
• Client consulting & technical documentation
• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers

It's a genuine mix of Level 3 support, consulting and project delivery, with responsibility for taking complex problems through to resolution.

Who we're looking for

MSP experience is non-negotiable.

You need to have worked within a managed services / multi-client environment and understand the pace, variety and client ownership that comes with it.

If your experience has been solely within internal IT, unfortunately this won't be the right opportunity.

We're looking for someone operating around Level 3 / Senior Systems Engineer level who is technically strong, communicates well and takes ownership rather than immediately passing difficult problems elsewhere. The underlying brief specifically requires previous managed-services or multi-client consulting experience.

Salary: Up to $130k + Super

Location: Brisbane

Working arrangement: 5 days per week in the office

Experience: Previous MSP experience essential

This is not a hybrid role. You must be comfortable working from the office five days per week and attending client sites when required.
