Job summary

Stake is seeking a KYC Team Lead in Sydney to build and lead the Financial Crime Operations team. You’ll develop the team, set priorities, and shape KYC workflows with technology and automation, balancing regulatory obligations with a great customer experience.

This hybrid role involves three days in our Sydney office as Stake evolves. You’ll drive high‑quality KYC outcomes at scale, partnering with Product and Engineering to unlock better workflows and ensure operational readiness for changes

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational teams in KYC/AML at scale.
• Deep knowledge of KYC: CDD/ECDD, AML/CTF obligations.
• Data-driven approach to decision making and performance.
• Ability to partner with Product and Engineering on workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build a high‑performing KYC team with clear expectations and coaching.
• Shape the direction for KYC operations aligning priorities with regulatory obligations.
• Deliver productivity and capacity reporting for visibility into performance.
• Improve KYC decision quality using QA outcomes and escalations.
• Lead automation and workflow improvements with Product and Engineering.
