Job summary

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a seasoned DevOps/Platform Engineer to provide technical mentorship and ensure operational excellence across incidents, service requests, and documentation.

You will work with Linux administration, Kubernetes architecture, Docker, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI), plus monitoring with Grafana/Kibana/Prometheus. Familiarity with Kafka and TCP/IP networking is a plus.

Qualifications

Job Description

• Provide technical mentorship to team members and foster a culture of operational excellence.
  
• Manage and ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests in Service Now.
  
• Maintain documentation and operational procedures for incident response and recovery.
  
• Hands on experience on Linux operating system administration and proficiency in Linux command line and shell scripting.
  
• Linux file system and backup management
  
• Manage disk space and partitions
  
• Configuring and managing RAID arrays
  
• Oversee server administration, ensuring optimal performance, security and reliability
  
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture – including nodes, pods, services, deployments and namespaces.

• Hands on in using K8S management tools using tools like Openlens, kubectl, Lens etc.
