Job summary

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a seasoned DevOps/Platform Engineer to provide technical mentorship and ensure operational excellence across incidents, service requests, and documentation.

You will work with Linux administration, Kubernetes architecture, Docker, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI), plus monitoring with Grafana/Kibana/Prometheus. Familiarity with Kafka and TCP/IP networking is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Linux administration and shell scripting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture (nodes, pods, deployments).
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Monitoring and logging with Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana/ELK.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical mentorship and drive operational excellence.
• Manage incidents and service requests in ServiceNow.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks for incident response.
• Oversee server administration, ensuring performance and security.
