XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to maintain, scale, and optimize our hybrid cloud infrastructure. You will work with Kubernetes (EKS), AWS, and CI/CD tooling to ensure reliability and performance across deployments.

Collaborate with development teams to implement automation, security controls, and cost‑effective configurations. This contract role requires hands‑on expertise and a pragmatic approach to operations in a dynamic technology environment.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of DevOps experience in similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) and container orchestration.
• Hands-on AWS experience and cloud cost awareness.
• Proficient with CI/CD pipelines and related tools.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters (EKS) with node pools, upgrades, and DR.
• Enforce Kubernetes security best practices (RBAC, pod security, network policies).
• Manage secrets and configuration (Vault).
• CI/CD Pipeline Management: build and optimize pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible).

As a Senior DevOps Engineer,you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and scaling ourorganization's infrastructure systems. Your primary focus will be to ensure thereliability and performance of our infrastructure & DevOps, includingKubernetes, other critical components in Hybrid cloud environment. You willwork closely with development teams to design and implement solutions that enhancesystem stability and automate operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available and secure Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS, including node pool management, upgrade strategies, and disaster recovery.
• Ensure Kubernetes security best practices (RBAC, pod security, network policies).
• Manage secrets and configuration(Vault)
• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket,Jenkins, Ansible) to automate code deployment and infrastructure changes, ensuring safe, rapid, and reliable releases.
• Automation: Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts(Python/Shell/Bash), Optimize deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, rolling updates)
• Observability & Monitoring: Implement and enhance monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to gain real-time visibility into system health.
• Performance & Cost Optimization: Proactively analyzes system capacity and optimize AWS resource utilization, balancing performance with cost-efficiency.
