Palm Lake Group is seeking a reliable Kitchenhand at Palm Lake Resort Bargara to maintain a clean, safe kitchen and support our culinary team. The role covers lunch and dinner service, 15 hours weekly across Monday to Friday, with potential extra hours for events.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen, café or catering environment preferred.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe work practices.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a close-knit team.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs/cook with basic food preparation and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and dining areas.
• Wash, sanitise, and store dishes, utensils, and equipment properly.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support stock rotation and assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste safely and hygienically.
• Clean food prep areas, fridges, ovens and other kitchen equipment.
• Follow workplace health and safety guidelines and report hazards promptly.
• Work with team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
